Thank you for your interest in the 2015 Western States Cutting Horse
Association (WSCHA) Stallion Stakes & Auction. Your participation will
provide the opportunity to market your stallion(s) during the Annual Fall
WSCHA LAE. The monies raised from the January auction are to be prorated as
cash bonuses during the Stallion Stakes Derby Open and Non Pro that same
fall. ALL 2011 foals sired by eligible stallions and shown in the
WSCHA Fall LAE Derby are eligible. Auction proceeds are to be
distributed as follows: 10% for promotion, and the remaining 90% will be the
prorated purse for the Stallion Stakes Open & Non Pro Derby.
WSCHA Stallion Stakes & Auction Conditions
Services (one breeding per stallion) are donated to the WSCHA Stallion
Stakes & Auction (min. $1000 breeding fee). The donated services will be
offered for sale through the on-line WSCHA Stallion Auction in
January/February 2015. Information on donated stallions will be published in
the WSCHA Stallion Auction on-line Catalogue, and published in other cutting
horse publications and online services. Starting Bids will be 50% of the
advertised breeding fee. Only 2011 get of stallions whose services are sold
will be eligible in the 2015 Stallion Stakes Derby (4 year olds).
WSCHA Stallion Stakes & Auction will provide to stallion donor:
- Auction advertisements in publications such as the Cutting Horse Chatter,
Quarter Horse News, and on the WSCHA web site.
- Auction online catalogue
to be available approximately 1 month before auction (linkable information
to be provided by stallion donor).
- Incentive program at the Fall WSCHA
LAE, open to the entire 2011 foal crop produced by the sold donated stallion
As a condition of the Stallion Service Contract the
stallion owner/donor agree to the following:
- Stallion owners agree
to donate a stallion breeding only: farm fees, chute fees, mare care and
semen collection / shipping fees are not included and are payable to the
stallion owner or breeding facility by the winning bidder (mare owner).
- If the stallion is sold anytime before the WSCHA Stallion Stakes & Auction,
the donor of the stallion breeding must immediately notify the WSCHA
Stallion Stakes & Auction; the Stallion Service Contract will remain in
effect and transfer to new owner.
- The stallion owner may charge the mare
owner for normal mare care charges and any other applicable fees such as
chute fees, veterinary fees, semen shipping fees, etc.
- Once the breeding
has been sold, WSCHA Stallion Stakes & Auction will notify the stallion
breeding facility. The contact person's name and phone number of the
breeding facility will be given to the purchaser. Breeding arrangements will
be made between breeding facility and purchaser. The WSCHA Stallion Stakes &
Auction is not responsible for booking dates or any additional fees
associated with this breeding. There will be no refund of winning bids for
- Stallion donations must be in the WSCHA Stallion Stakes
office by January 1, 2015, to meet advertising dates.
- Stallion owners may
set a minimum to be met on their breeding.
- Submission of Stallion
Service Contract indicates acceptance of the foregoing statements.
- Consigners agree to hold WSCHA, its employees, directors and members
harmless from any and all liability including but not limited to attorney
fees, court costs, etc., in connection with this program.

Proceeds from this Stallion Auction are used as
payout for our Derby Stallion Stakes
- Stallion Stakes is held during the WSCHA
Fall LAE in Loveland, CO in October.
- There is NO ADDITIONAL ENTRY FEE to
contestants. Just enter and pay the standard entry fee
for the Open or Non Pro Derby class.
- $1,000 Rider Bonus to Open Champion rider.
- $500 Stallion Owner Bonus to the Owner of
the Sire of the Open and Non Pro Champions.
- $24,000 paid out in Stallion Stakes for
- ALL 4 year old offspring of participating
stallions are eligible for the Stallion Stakes IN THE SAME
YEAR THE BREEDING IS DONATED.
